Here we have a sleeping honu. These gentle giants spend all day swimming and feeding and when it's time to sleep they have an exhausting task of slowly merging high onto the beach. They do lay on the bottom of the sea floor and take little naps here and there. What wonderful creatures! Just be sure to always practice keeping about a 10 to 15 foot radius between you and the turtle :)
